Eliminate Excuses...

Having trouble viewing this email? Click here Hi Taha, A number of years ago I conducted a series of personal development seminars for a large insurance company in the United States. A couple of months after the seminars were completed I was invited by John Lasater to speak at a special function for his office in downtown Chicago. John's office had been part of the group, which attended the seminars, and they were enjoying tremendous success with their sales. I asked John what he considered to be the greatest benefit of the seminars. I was almost certain that he would say the additional sales, but he didn't. John replied that the seminars had eliminated excuses. I never forgot that. Think of how much happier you would be, not to mention how much more productive you would be, if you eliminated excuses. I once read the worst thing that can happen to you is to have an excuse. And, if there were anything worse, it would be to have a good excuse. When you use an excuse for not accomplishing something or not completing a project, you are actually giving power to someone or something outside of yourself. Since there is some circumstances you cannot change and you most certainly cannot change other people, you are stuck. There is a power within you, which is far superior to any condition or circumstance outside of you. Here is a great suggestion for you to try. Try it today. Regardless of what happens today, absolutely refuse to use an excuse to get off the hook. That may be difficult, it might even sound silly but try it anyway. When excuses are eliminated, productivity goes up and people are happier. Remember ... the very worst thing that can happen to you is to have a good excuse.
